Premier Inn Experiential 'Come on In'

Issue
The Business Travel Show is Europe’s largest and busiest B2B travel event, making it the perfect opportunity to promote Premier Inn and hub hotels. However, with over 260 suppliers scrambling for the attention of 7,730 attendees, delivering a genuine impact is a challenge.
Insight
In the past, we used scale models to showcase our rooms. Not only had this approach grown tired, ever-reducing stand sizes meant it was no longer practical. So, we needed to find a smarter, more modern solution that reflected our state-of-the-art designs; something to ‘wow’ our prospects.
Idea
360-degree imagery taken from two hotels was weaved together, loaded into an app and displayed via a number of iPhones through customised VR headsets. Customers who visited our stand, could take a virtual ‘walk’ through our reception area, restaurants and rooms. Large TV screens displayed video footage from our hotels and we even added carpet from Premier Inn and hub – increasing the feeling of authenticity even further.
Impact
We generated more impact with our realistic VR experience, over previous years. Our idea also meant that our stand had a smaller footprint overall, reducing cost.
